Pandemic times in the light of social sciences

Our societies are being profoundly disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to a health crisis, we are facing a social crisis that must be seen as a moment of fracture, which will entail profound changes on a global scale. The complexity of this phenomenon, in terms of its different dimensions, requires an interdisciplinary response. Thus, the contributions of the social sciences to deal with the pandemic have been as important as, and in many ways complementary to, those of the biomedical sciences.

Therefore, this platform features content, in various formats, that discuss the reality of COVID-19 and all of its impacts, through the point of view of CICS.NOVA researchers. At the unprecedented moment that we're living, it is our responsibility to assume our role as social scientists.
