Alejandro Enfedaque obtained his diploma in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) in 2004 and performed his doctoral studies at the same university obtaining his PhD (cum laude) in 2009. He has developed his academic career in the at the School of Civil Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid currently being Associate Professor in the Construction and Building Materials Chair.

António Ramos is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at NOVA School of Science and Technology, Portugal. He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering / Structures (2003) from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon and also holds a M.Sc. degree in Structural Engineering and a B.Eng in Civil Engineering from University of Lisbon. His research interests include flat slab structures, repair and strengthening of concrete structures and seismic behavior of structures.

Dario Coronelli is Associate Professor of Structural Analysis and Design (Tecnica delle Costruzioni) Politecnico di Milano, Dept of Civil Environmental Engineering: He received his degree and PhD (1998) at Politecnico di Milano, Structural Engineering Dept.
His research interests cover reinforced concrete slab design, effect of corrosion in reinforced and prestressed concrete, masonry structures in historical buildings.

Duarte Viúla Faria has obtained his diploma in Civil Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal) in 2000. He then worked in the conception, analysis, design and construction of structures, before performing his doctoral studies at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, obtaining his PhD in 2011. He then stayed as an invited professor in this same university, and in 2013, he joined École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) as post-doctoral fellow until 2014.

Fausta Fiorillo holds a Ph.D. in Architecture and Urban Phenomenology from the University of Basilicata (2013). She was a research fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Salerno from 2014 to 2017, participating in several projects (PRIN, FARB, Grande Progetto Pompei).

Francisco has an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from IST, University of Lisbon and spent a semester at TU Delft in the Netherlands under the Erasmus exchange programme. Francisco is currently attending the PhD programme "Sustainable Energy Systems" at IST, University of Lisbon. He is a researcher in Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) at c5Lab, where he is currently working on a LCA study of grey cement production.

Former director and current scientific committee member of the LPMSC lab Laboratory for testing Materials, Buildings and Structures, with a vast experience of design and management of testing systems and infrastructure

Jaroslav Halvonik received his PhD. degree in the field of theory and construction of engineering structures in 1993 from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2001 he was promoted to Associate Professor and 2010 to ordinary professor in the field of engineering structures. Topics of his research interests are focused on the design of concrete structures and bridges, shear and punching shear.

João  Pacheco

João has a PhD and a MSc in Civil Engineering from IST, University of Lisbon and he is the coordinator of the Research Area: Sustainable Cementitious Materials & Innovation in Manufacturing of c5Lab. João is actively involved in several national and international projects on sustainable concrete mix design and structural concrete assessment and design. João is a member of the fib Task Group 4.7: Structural Applications of Recycled Aggregate Concrete.

Jorge de Brito

Jorge de Brito has been involved in sustainable concrete research for around 20 years, particularly recycled aggregates. He graduated in Civil Engineering and obtained a Master's in Structural Engineering and a Doctorate in Civil Engineering, all at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, Portugal, where he is now a Full Professor of Civil Engineering.

Katarína Gajdošová received her Ph.D. degree in the field of theory and construction of engineering structures in 2010 from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2017 she was promoted to Associate Professor in the field of engineering structures. Topics of her research interests are focused on strengthening concrete structures and the use of innovative materials for reinforcing and strengthening of concrete structures.
