Selection and ranking criteria

The selection of students is mostly based on their curricula and the letter of intention. Ranking criteria is based on the Code of Administrative Procedure (CPA) and on the interviewing process. Since the programme is very specialised, although inter-disciplinary, there are not more student candidates as the numerus clausus established for each academic year. Nevertheless, a selection criteria is defined, and the student candidates receives information on the results of the selection procedure.

The final list of accepted students is aproved by the programme coordinator and the scientific board. The admission for grant support will follow quantitative criteria. The above mentioned criteria will be considered, but the classification at a post-graduation diploma will be considered as an indicator. Beside this simple ranking criteria, the ones related with publications (international peer-reviewed journal, national peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters, peer-reviewed working papers) will be also considered as another indicator.

The number of years of experience in the field will be the third indicator. Finally, will also be considered for grant support the indicator of other competences, as language proficiency, use of research tools capacities (surveys, data bases, search engines, statistics), and quantitative analysis experience.
