O OAT/CICS.NOVA iniciou um blog sobre o quadro epistemológico em que esta pandemia se tem desenvolvido, e as visões acerca dos futuros que a pós-pandemia pode desenhar.
De acordo com o 1º post colocado no passado dia 5 de Maio, "importa refletir sobre o que aprendemos neste processo, e que experiências são relevantes, quer por sublinharem valores negativos, quer por estimularem valores positivos."

Call for SR&TD Project Grants (FCT 2020)

29.11.2019 - Foi publicado o Aviso de Abertura de Concurso (AAC) e o Guide for Peer Reviewers para submissão de candidaturas a projetos de IC&DT em todos os domínios científicos.
Ao abrigo deste AAC, o prazo para apresentação de candidaturas decorre entre o dia 30 de janeiro de 2020 e o dia 31 de março 2020 (17 horas).
O formulário de candidatura, bem como o guião de candidatura, serão disponibilizados no dia 30 de janeiro de 2020.
Todas as candidaturas devem ser apresentadas em língua inglesa através de formulário eletrónico no Portal de Concursos

Participation on the EPTA Conference 2019, Stockholm

The Portuguese chapter of the EPTA report 2019 is online. It was produced by the integrated CICS.NOVA members Ana P. Gil, António B. Moniz and José de São José, and the collaborator researchers Bettina Krings and Bárbara Bäckström. The complete version of the report is here.

The 2019 EPTA report on "Technologies in care for older people" is now available online.

Lisbon meeting of the Deep View project

It took place last 21st June 2019 a conference and project meeting of an European project where CICS.NOVA is partner. Nuno Boavida, from the Observatory of Technology Assessment, organised and leaded the meeting with the agenda in the following link: https://www.facebook.com/notes/observat%C3%B3rio-de-avalia%C3%A7%C3%A3o-de-tecnologia/agenda-for-the-deep-view-project-lisbon-meeting/1326759927490138/.
The other partners are Notus-asr (Spain, project coordinator), PRAXIS (Estonia), FORBA (Austria) and FAOS (Denmark).

Coordinator of the PhD program invited to the Cybersecurity Observatory

António B. Moniz, coordinator of the PhD program on Technology Assessment at Nova University of Lisbon, was recently invited to take part in the Cybersecurity Observatory (OCS) which belongs to the National Cybersecurity Centre (CNCS).
The OCS is a platform for analysis and knowledge systematization around multidisciplinary themes related to cybersecurity. It identifies trends, and discusses information on social and economical aspects of cybersecurity, public policies, ethics and risk management.

IV Conferência Rumos da Sociologia do Conhecimento, Ciência e Tecnologia em Portugal

Realiza-se nos próximos dias 10 e 11 de setembro de 2019 a IV Conferência Rumos da Sociologia do Conhecimento, Ciência e Tecnologia em Portugal, no Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, Universidade do Porto. O programa prevê:

- uma sessão plenária com palestra por Rob Hagendijk (University of Amsterdam);

- sessões temáticas de apresentações de comunicações submetidas;

- uma mesa-redonda multidisciplinar, integrando participações de investigadores dos estudos de ciência e tecnologia e das ciências da vida e da saúde;

Baumann coordinates a sub-program of EERA

Dr. Manuel Baumann holds a PhD on Technology Assessment at Uni Nova Lisbon and is researcher at ITAS Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and also at the Observatory of Technology Assessment of CICS.NOVA. He was appointed as coordinator of the Sub-programme 6 on Energy Storage: Techno-Economics and Sustainability of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA). The EERA was founded in 2011 and involves the most relevant energy research institution.

Project AddTech

The AddTech project is a collaboration between CATIM, CICS.NOVA and FCT NOVA to support the empirical study for the PhD research of Nuno Carvalho Araújo. It is a project on technology assessment of additive manufacturing in the metal sector in Portugal. It runs at the Observatory of Technology Assessment of CICS.NOVA

Project PRISMA RRI

PRISMA is an EC project that aims to help companies to better integrate Responsible innovation in their innovation process and business practices.

A project that involves the collaboration of the PhD student Maria João Maia included in the KIT team.

Sessão de lançamento do projeto InovKnow3D

No próximo dia 27 de fevereiro terá lugar nas instalações do CATIM em Lisboa (Estrada do Paço do Lumiar, 22 - Campus do Lumiar, Edifício Q), a Sessão de Lançamento do Projeto InovKnow3D.

O Projeto InovKnow3D visa transferir conhecimento científico e tecnológico associado à tecnologia de Manufatura Aditiva, fomentando a incorporação da mesma no processo produtivo da indústria.
