On March 8th 2016, International Women's Day, the program Ciência Viva honored 103 scientist women in Portugal in the book Mulheres na Ciência. Professor Maria João Romão is among the distinguished, which also honours our group!

Best Poster Award at GLUPOR11

Diana RIbeiro was selected by the Scientific Committeee of the 11th International Meeting of the Portuguese Carbohydrate Group (GLUPOR11) & 6th Iberian Carbohydrate Meeting, as one of the three best poster presentations. Clara Immenwahr Award

 The cluster of excellence “Unifying Concepts in Catalysis” (UniCat) has presented Dr. Teresa Santos-Silva with the 2014 Clara Immenwahr Award on February 21st at the Technische Universität Berlin. The chemist is being honoured for her outstanding contributions to the field of aldehyde oxidase enzymes, a group of enzymes that are important for all vertebrates.

António Xavier Award (2013 edition)

 Aldino Viegas, who obtained his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Science and Technology, New University of Lisbon in the specialty of Structural Biochemistry, was awarded the António Xavier Award for the best PhD thesis in the area of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. His thesis, completed in 2012 and supervised by Prof. Eurico Cabrita, Dr Ana Luisa Carvalho and Prof.

Santander-Totta/UNL Scientific Merit Award (2013 edition)
