Samaneh Sharif

Samaneh Sharif is a PhD candidate at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, since 2016. Her research focus on the “identification and characterization of natural yellow dyes in Persian carpets”. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cultural Heritage Center in Tehran. She completed her master in Conservation and Restoration of Historical Artefacts in Art University of Tehran with the dissertation entitled “the role of risk assessment for deterioration caused by temperature and humidity in preventive conservation at museum storage”. She is also interested in preventive conservation, museum risk management, textile conservation and aesthetics of art which stem from her past career as a senior conservator in Cultural Museum Institute in Iran.
