Energy Materials (EM) Lab,  is a research laboratory of MEON Group in CENIMAT/I3N devoted to investigating abundant and environmentally friendly materials for energy conversion and storage. Thin film solar cells, cellulose based batteries for electronic and bio applications, thermoelectric thin films for thermal sensors and power generation, and multifunctional fibers and nanoparticles are  topics being investigated.  

Professor Isabel Ferreira is the responsible of Energy Materials Lab. Professor Isabel Ferreira is Associated Professor of the Materials Science Department of Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University of Lisbon and is currently the responsible for the investigation of 4 Pos-docs, 4 PhD students and several master researchers with backgrounds in Electronics, Physics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering.
