Maria Carmo Lança was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1965. In 1988 she obtained the B.Sc. degree in Physics from Universidade de Lisboa and in 2003 the Ph.D. degree in Physics Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 1990 she joined the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa where she is currently an Assistant Professor in the Materials Science Department.
Main scientific interests:
- Biomaterials: electrical polarization and its influence on bone and teeth replacement;
- Electrically aging of polymers;
- Dielectric Materials; Dielectric and electrical properties of cork;
- Polymers and composites; Cellular Materials.
