Asal  Kiazadeh

Asal Kiazadeh

Asal Kiazadeh received her PhD degree with highest distinction in Electronics and Optoelectronics at University of Algarve in a collaborative project with Philips Research Laboratories, in December 2013. Her thesis topic is resistive switching memories based on nanoparticles. She is senior researcher of distinction at i3N/CENIMAT of Nova de Lisboa University (recognized by ultra competitive contest of CEEC, 4th edition).

Carlos Miguel de Castro Silva

Carlos Miguel de Castro Silva

Carlos Silva completed his Integrated MSc Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in February 2021 at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. His Master thesis entitled "Artificial synapse based on oxide based memristors'', was carried out at CENIMAT|i3N, and involved the fabrication of amorphous oxide resistive switching devices (ZTO memristors) and their respective electrical characterization for potential use in neural networks.

Emanuel  Carlos

Emanuel Carlos

Emanuel Carlos received his PhD in Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences from NOVA School of Science and Technology in 2021. He has been working on solution-based metal oxide electronics since 2015, focusing on sustainable materials and technologies. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at CENIMAT|i3N at the NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA). He has participated in national (Neuroxide, IDS Paper) and international (i-Flexis, 1D-NEON, SuperSmart, Digismart, FOXES) research projects in the area, with academia and industry.

Jonas  Deuermeier

Jonas Deuermeier

Jonas Deuermeier holds a joint doctoral degree in Materials Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) / Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences as a result of a collaborative PhD project between Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal and Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany. He is responsible for X-ray and ultravoilet photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS/UPS) at I3N|CENIMAT.

Raquel Azevedo Martins

Raquel Azevedo Martins

Raquel received her Master degree in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in 2021 with the title: “Solution based metal oxide semiconductors memristor”. She is currently working as Research Fellow of the project Supreme-IT.

Zulema Ixchel Cruz Serrano

Zulema Ixchel Cruz Serrano

Zulema has a BSc. In Nanotechnology Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Mexico and an Erasmus Mundus Master in Membrane Engineering (EM3E) from Université de Montpellier, Université Paul Sabatier III (Toulouse), University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague – VŠCHT, FCT Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Biotechnologies and Food). Currently, she is PhD Student at i3N (CENIMAT and Aveiro) under the supervision of Jonas Deuermeier, Nabiha Ben Sedrine and Nenad Bundaleski. She is contributing to the Supreme-IT project with XPS analysis.
