Emanuel Carlos

Emanuel Carlos received his PhD in Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences from NOVA School of Science and Technology in 2021. He has been working on solution-based metal oxide electronics since 2015, focusing on sustainable materials and technologies. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at CENIMAT|i3N at the NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA). He has participated in national (Neuroxide, IDS Paper) and international (i-Flexis, 1D-NEON, SuperSmart, Digismart, FOXES) research projects in the area, with academia and industry. He has published more than 16 peer-reviewed articles (h-index=12, 653 citations) in high-impact journals and 2 book chapters in this area. He won several prizes in prestigious conferences, a national project (Supreme-IT) as Co-PI, the 1st prize in the Fraunhofer Portugal Challenge based on his doctoral thesis, and the individual appeal to stimulate scientific employment (PECO - 4th Edition ) for a junior investigator position.
