  • Working Group Leader of European Advanced Materials 2030 Initiative (2022), member of the ISG of ETP Manufuture (2021) and

I have followed national and European policies, since 2009, as well as European research and innovation funding programs (Horizon Europe, H2020 and FP7).  I have coordinated several working groups and projects, from which I would like to highlight the coordination of the Portuguese Research and Innovation Agenda for Industry and Manufacturing and support in the definition of the Portuguese Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. Therefore, my research activity is about the Impact assessment of Artificial Intelligence in work environments of the manufacturing industry. My work has received an award from APSDI/FCT/GOOGLE with the paper Automation trends in Portugal: implications in productivity and employment”.
