She is now finishing her master's degree in Marine Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon (FCUL). Her master thesis, carried out at Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) focuses on the presence of microplastics in pelagic fishes (Sardina pilchardus, Engraulis encrasicolus and Trachurus trachurus). Her thesis analysed the accumulation of MPs in three tissues (gills, gastrointestinal tracts and muscles). She is currently part of the MARlab team within the PLASTISPHERE project- “Understanding microplastic biota composition and dynamics along the coasts of Israel and Portugal”.
