The aim of the working papers at IET/CICS.NOVA is the improvement of the scientific information exchange in the field of technology assessment, enterprise and work innovation, evaluation of emergent technologies, and foresight in its social and economical dimensions.These working papers should also promote the dissemination of advanced knowledge in research fields of science and technology with a critical perspective.
The organisation of a program of information of activities at IET/CICS.NOVA, through the regular publication of working papers (under the title IET Working Papers Series), will allow the development of synergies that will support the possibility for new partnership opportunities (networking) as well the identification - through a feed-back process - of fields of knowledge with major interest to the research centre development of new proposals. This can happen autonomouslly or in association with other institutions (benchmarking).
The general aim is to acknowledge and encourage the discussion of analysis topics.

Integra o conceito de WP qualquer documento de natureza científica, que se refira ao desenvolvimento das actividades em curso no IET (relatórios de progresso, resumos de actas de encontros científicos e/ou de sessões de trabalho, conclusões preliminares de investigação em curso, papers apresentados para publicação em revistas mas ainda em processo de avaliação, e papers para conferências, etc.) bem como relatórios para integrarem trabalhos de mestrado e/ou doutoramento desenvolvidos pelos estudantes de pós-graduação acolhidos pelo centro.
Proposals of working paper must be sent to abm@fct.unl.pt
A publicação de um WP é precedida de leitura e aprovação por parte de um membro do IET. O período de tempo máximo para emitir uma opinião sobre a publicação de um trabalho é de 15 dias.
Existe um objectivo de publicar um número mínimo de dois WP em cada semestre, por cada um dos grupos de investigação do centro. Quaisquer opiniões que neles sejam expressas vinculam os seus autores e não o IET.
Será considerada a existência de um espaço próprio na página Web do IET, na qual os WPs serão ordenados da seguinte forma:

Na página deverão estar disponíveis os resumos dos WPs dos dois últimos anos, podendo a versão integral ser disponibilizada através do recurso a Acrobat Reader. Serão objecto de divulgação no RePEc (http://repec.org/ ) e junto de instituições com interesses pedagógicos ou científicos nas áreas da economia, gestão, sociologia e engenharia. Cada autor receberá 2 exemplares em papel. Independentemente da língua em que forem escritos, todos os working papers devem apresentar um pequeno resumo em inglês, 3 ou 4 palavras-chave e a classificação JEL.
