MSc. in Materials Science and Engineering (FCT/UNL, 2015). Catarina is currently a PhD student working on the development of Thermoelectrics based on conductive oxides: thin films and 3D printing under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Isabel Ferreira.
From 2015 to 2016, Catarina collaborated in the TransFlexTeg project as a researcher of one Work-Package focusing the characterization and production of thermoelectric thin films.
Catarina joined the research team of the CapTherPV project, from 2016 to 2022. In that project, she was responsible for investigating photothermoelectric thin films and their individual characterization and in the final device of the project.
More recently, Catarina is also involved in research focusing on the development of thermoelectric pastes for 3D printing. Furthermore, she is part of the Insolensys project team where she focuses again on the area of photothermoelectric thin films and their integration into the final device.
Main scientific interests: thermoelectric materials and devices, thin film photothermoelectric, flexible and transparent electronics, 3D printing and renewable energy.
