Isabel Teixeira was born in 1997 in São Miguel island, Azores. She graduated in Biology, with specialization in the branch of Cell Biology and Biotechnology,  at Faculdade de Ciências from Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL) in 2018. After graduation, she had the opportunity to perform an internship at Plant Biotechnology Laboratory from Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB). Currently, she is a Biotechnology master student at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT-UNL) and, in partnership with Instituto de Biologia Experimental  e Tecnológica (iBET), her master thesis involves fatty acid based eutectic systems and supercritical CO2 techniques to enhance a hydrophobic drug's solubility.
