MSc student

Sandro was born in 1999, in Cascais, and graduated, in 2021, in Biology - branch of Cell Biology and Biotechnology, from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL). His final project was entitled “Phenotyping rice varieties from Guiné-Bissau, in salt stress conditions” which he developed at the Plant Physiology Laboratory (FCUL). At the same year, he also developed another project entitled “Role of phosphatidic acid in saline stress tolerance in Tradescantia fluminensis” at FCUL Microscopy Facility. During his degree, he also volunteered at the Marine Zoology Laboratory (MARE ULisboa), where he assisted in several projects. Currently, he’s finishing his master’s degree in Biotechnology at NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA) within the DES.solve group, working on the Evaluation of Deep Eutectic Systems as anti-biofouling agents, in a collaboration between DES.solve and MARE IPLeiria.
