Nuno Rosa Roberto received his Master degree in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering from NOVA School of Science and Technology in 2021. During his academic path, Nuno developed a keen interest in nanomedicine, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine, performing his master thesis entitled "Influence of collagen fibril alignment in collagen scaffolds mineralization" at the UMC Utrecht in the Netherlands under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Miguel Castilho and Prof. Dr. João Paulo Borges. It consisted of developing and 3D print fibrillar collagen inks inside a suspension bath and assess collagen alignment and its influence on mineral precipitation for bone tissue applications. Currently, he is integrated as a research fellow at CENIMAT|i3N inserted in the project NEURiTES- NEUral Regeneration with conducTivE Scaffolds (PTDC/CTM-COM/32606/2017) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Célia Henriques. His current research focuses on the development of conductive electrospun matrices for electrical stimulation of cells, envisioning the promotion of neural regeneration.

Main research interests: Biomaterials, Nanomedicine, Tissue engineering, and Regenerative medicine.
