Publications 2021

The publications list was updated with the 2021 outcomes

First area-scaling characteristics with solution-processed ZTO

Being a diode structure with the rectifying contact at the bottom (a), it is vital that the set occurs in the (negative) forward polarity in order to operate in the area-scaling mode. Only in this mode, the self-rectification can be maintained during switching (Milestone 3).

First Miletone "Successful solution-based ZTO and MoO3 thin film depositions" achieved

Deposition of MoO3 from solution has been optimized from the ground up. Attractive properties are achieved even at low temperatures (200°C). Work functions above 5.2 eV and excellent thickness control via the concentration in solution were obtained. Currently, devices are tested.

ZTO deposition from solution was optimized towards application in memristors. Also here, best performance was obtained with low deposition temperatures (200-250°C). While working between "traditional" Pt and Ti/Au contacts, we are now investigating novel contact materials.

Talk at IIBC 2022

Our PhD student Iana Lychko shared her work within the #Sea2See_project at the 8th INTERNATIONAL IBERIAN BIOPHYSICS CONGRESS that took place in Bilbao on 20-21 June 2022. Congratulations!

New paper "Synergy between silk fibroin and ionic liquids for active gas-sensing materials"

One of our recent works describing "Synergy between silk fibroin and ionic liquids for active gas-sensing materials" is now available! This work was developed under the scope of the #SCENT_project, financed by the European Research Council, and it explored the possibilities of fibroin in soft and flexible electronics.

New paper - Review about ligands for SARS-CoV-2 spike protein

Excited to share fantastic news! We have a freshly published paper in Biotechnology Advances. In this work, the authors explore "Native, engineered and de novo designed ligands targeting the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein".

Best Talk and Best Poster Award at the Biophysics Festival 2022

Jorge Antunes and Tomás Fernandes received the prizes for Best Oral Presentation and Best Poster at the Biophysics Festival 2022 held in Aveiro on June 3rd.
