April 2nd, the Library from FCT-NOVA will host the Opening Session of the celebrations of the International Year of Crystallography at FCT-NOVA with the first of a series of talks from distinguished national and foreign scientists using Crystallography in their research. 
You are all welcome to attend the session and the gathering afterwards!

The Opening Session will be honoured by the lectures from:

Professor Claude Lecomte (Vice-President of IUCr), entitled "International Year of Crystallography: The IUCr UNESCO projects"

Professor Maria Ondina Figueiredo (CENIMAT-FCT-NOVA, Portugal), entitled "CRYSTALS: form, metrics, symmetry, atomistic in the perspective of materials"

Professor Maria Arménia Carrondo (ITQB-NOVA, Portugal), entitled "Structural Biology Contribution to New Advances in Science. The Portuguese Case"
