Juliana is a PhD student of the doctorate course on Climate Change and Policies for Sustainable Development, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. It is part of the Energy and Climate research group of CENSE. Scholar of the Science without Borders Program of CNPq. She holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Paraíba (2001) and a Masters in Economics (2003) from the same university, where she also served as a substitute teacher. She was a Public Policy Specialist at the Ministry of Environment. She worked as a consultant for UNDP and FAO on the financing of environmental public policies and for subnational bodies on socio-environmental projects. It is interested in solar energy, energy modelling and public policies focused on renewable energy.
