TASK 2
Identifying Blooming in TPU-Coated Fabrics

In Task 2, the project team will conduct an in-depth scientific study of blooming, using visual and molecular analysis to determine its composition and occurrence in museum collections.

By examining representative case studies, this task intends to establish possible correlations between blooming, coated-fabric manufacture, and material stratigraphy.

An important output of this research will be the Blooming Atlas, a visual database documenting different types of blooming in TPU-coated fabrics.
