InBloom Hands-on Workshop at ISMC
Participants of the International Symposium on Museology and Conservation – Between Exhibition Gallery and Storage: Redesigning Museum Conservation Practices are invited to express their interest in the InBloom Hands-on Workshop, which will take place at MUDE on 24 July, from 16:30 to 17:30.
Organised within the InBloom research project, this workshop addresses the conservation of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)-coated fabrics in fashion and design collections. Through real case studies, it will focus on the phenomenon of blooming—a degradation phenomenon visible as whitish surface deposits—offering participants the opportunity to engage in practical exercises involving sampling, examination, observation, and interpretation.
