The Blooming Atlas presents a collection of detailed images illustrating the different visual manifestations of blooming on thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)-coated fabrics from the InBloom case studies.

A total of 37 case studies were examined, of which 31 exhibited blooming. The results showed that the visual identification of blooming depended on both the extent of the damage and the magnification used during observation. The presence of whitish deposits was observed across TPU-coated fabrics of different production dates, with no direct correlation between the age of the object and the occurrence of the phenomenon.

To support the visual identification and comparison of blooming in TPU-coated fabrics, a selection of detailed images is presented. Based on the visual assessment carried out between 2025 and 2026, the images are organised according to the extent of blooming, from localized minor blooming to extensive overall blooming.
