Biography

Ângela Santos finished her Bachelor (2015) and Master (2017) degrees in Conservation and Restoration at NOVA School of Sciences and Technology (Portugal), with specialization in stained-glass and stained-glass painting. During her master’s degree she focused on stained-glass and the history and techniques of production of the sanguine paint. Currently she is undertaking a Ph.D. in Conservation Science at the CORES Program in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the same university with the subject “Lanterna Magica – Technology and Preservation of Painted Glass Slides for Projection with Magic Lanterns”, under the supervision of Márcia Vilarigues and Vanessa Otero.
