Ana Sofia Saraiva

Biography

Ana Sofia Saraiva is a PhD fellow in conservation and restoration at the Department of Conservation and Restoration of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology – NOVA University of Lisbon (DCR/FCT-UNL). She completed her B. Sc. and her M. Sc. in Conservation and restoration by Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologias, Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2016 and 2019 respectively. She has also concluded her M. Sc. in Historical Musicology by Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2018. Before engaging in her PhD, she was involved in the European Project “MineHeritage - tracing and learning from ancient technology”. Her research concerns archaeometric characterization of Archaeological Heritage focusing more on Islamic ceramic from Al-Ândalus.
