Thesis of Manuel Baumann (KIT) defended

Manuel Baumann was our student since 2013 and recently defended his thesis on "Battery storage systems as balancing option in intermittent renewable energy systems - A transdisciplinary approach under the frame of Constructive Technology Assessment" with a very high success. The thesis was supervised by Dr.-Ing. Marcel Weil (KIT) and the main examiners were Prof. Dr. Manuel Costa Matos (University of Porto) and Prof. Dr. Guy Fournier (Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences). The other members of the jury were Prof. Dr. Manuel Laranja (University of Lisbon) Prof. Dr. António Brandão Moniz (NOVA University of Lisbon), Prof. Dr. Carlos Silva (University of Évora), Prof. Dr. Nelson Chibeles Martins (NOVA University of Lisbon).

Manuel Baumann is member of the scientific staff of the Institute of Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and have done his research as regular student of our PhD programme with enormous success, and enabled several collaboration bridges between UNL and KIT.
