Ana Margarida Rocha has Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts, FBAUP (2012) and Master Degree in Painting, FBAUP (2014). In 2015, she began to collaborate with the research group Contemporary Materials and Creativity - VICARTE, in the project: "Vidro e impressão - monocozeduras sobre superfícies vítreas" with NOVA.ID.FCT research grant.

Andreia Ruivo graduated in Chemistry and also obtained the master degree in Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL). In 2013 she received her Ph.D. degree in Sustainable Chemistry with the thesis entitled “Synthesis and characterization of innovative luminescent glasses for artistic applications” in collaboration with the Photochemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry Research Group (Requimte) and Vicarte.

Carina Figueiredo has both Bachelor and Masters degrees in Biochemistry, with specialization in synthesis of synthetic and biological ligands for the purification of Human Serum Albumin. Her research has been focused on the study of synthesis of ligands and high-throughput screening procedures.

She is currently integrated in the project: “From inexpensive raw materials to new luminescent glass materials”. The project concerns the study of luminescent glasses for technological application such as LED´s and Luminescent Solar Concentrators.

Catarina has Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry and Master’s degree in Bioorganic Chemistry, with specialization in synthesis and characterization of luminescent zeolites.

She is currently integrated in the project: “From inexpensive raw materials to new luminescent glass materials” where she is developing studies in luminescent zeolites that started in her Master’s degree.

Fernando Quintas is a painter and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL). He teaches glass art and mosaic, areas where he is making specific research. He has a degree in Painting from FBAUL, a post-graduation in Painting (FBAUL) and a PhD in contemporary stained glass (FBAUL). He has done several solo and collective painting exhibitions and was awarded prizes in painting and drawing. Also studied architecture, which is one of his main areas of interest.

Márcia Vilarigues is Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Conservation and Restoration FCT NOVA. Since 2011 Márcia Vilarigues is also the Director of the Research Unit VICARTE - Glass and Ceramics for the Arts (www.vicarte.org). In cooperation with several institutions, she has been involved in the launching of research projects on the study of historical materials.
