Carina Figueiredo has both Bachelor and Masters degrees in Biochemistry, with specialization in synthesis of synthetic and biological ligands for the purification of Human Serum Albumin. Her research has been focused on the study of synthesis of ligands and high-throughput screening procedures.

She is currently integrated in the project: “From inexpensive raw materials to new luminescent glass materials”. The project concerns the study of luminescent glasses for technological application such as LED´s and Luminescent Solar Concentrators.
