Márcia Vilarigues is Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Conservation and Restoration FCT NOVA. Since 2011 Márcia Vilarigues is also the Director of the Research Unit VICARTE - Glass and Ceramics for the Arts (www.vicarte.org). In cooperation with several institutions, she has been involved in the launching of research projects on the study of historical materials. Her research aims at contributing to the knowledge and preservation of cultural heritage, in order to reveal its historical and artistic value and improve conservation strategies.
