The Department of Civil Engineering of the NOVA School of Science and Technology of the NOVA University of Lisbon (DEC/FCT NOVA), in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DEMI/FCT NOVA) and the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC ), with the support of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon (IDMEC/IST/UL) and Infraestruturas de Portugal, S.A. The training is scheduled to start in September, 2024.

 

Study Plan

The curriculum includes nine units, from which are five are mandatory and four optional. The necessary number of passed credits to obtain the Diploma of the course is 16 ECTS. This number is ensured by passing each of the mandatory curricular units and two of the optional ones. As part of the training, lectures given by personalities of recognized merit in the field are planned. See more details here.

Class Schedule

If possible, the first lectures will be given in hybrid mode. After that the training will continue online on the Zoom platform in post working hours, on Fridays from 5pm till 9pm and on Saturdays from 9am GMT. The end of training on Saturdays will depend on the selected optional units, however, the number of hours per week will be 10 hours. Training will start on March 15 and will last for 14 weeks. Afterwards, the evaluation period will take place until the end of July.

Admission - Minimum Requirements

• 1st cycle of higher education in engineering sciences.
• Specialization in civil engineering, or mechanical engineering or other considered related.
• Exceptions will be analyzed individually. .
