Nourhaen Rebai

Research Intern

Nourhaen has focused on acquiring the deep and comprehensive knowledge in marine biology during the last 4 years. Her master's research revolved on “soft-bottom macrobenthic diversity and ecological status of ports”. Currently, she is at the second year of PhD at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, University of Sfax, Tunisia, and works on the quantification and the identification of microplastics on marine organisms in Tunisian coasts.

Associate Professor at the Department of environmental Sciences of FCT- Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (FCT-NOVA), with a background in Biology and PhD in Environmental Sciences; researcher at MARE – Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre and developing research on marine litter microplastics since 2008.

Vera Liane Ferreira Barbosa

Vera Barbosa is a team researcher at the Division of Aquaculture and Seafood Upgrading (DivAV) at Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA, I.P.). She has a MSc in Marine Biology with specialization in Biotechnology from the University of Algarve, Portugal.
