SOCIUS – Research Centre in Economic and Organizational Sociology – is a research unit belonging to the School of Economics and Management (ISEG), within the University of Lisbon. It was set up in May 1991 by ISEG teachers and researchers and various other external researchers.

Its principal area of scientific activity, Economic and Organizational Sociology, is considered in its broadest sense, and favours the numerous points of contact between contemporary Sociology and Economics, besides other Social Sciences involved in the study of economic and organizational reality.
