The Portuguese Association of Professionals in Sociology of Organizations and Work is a national non-profit association for the development of scientific and socio-cultural activities, founded in 1985.

The APSIOT association also establishes collaboration links with research organizations, educational and vocational training institutions, scientific associations, cultural organizations, individual professionals, trade unions and employers, and all kind of other national or international organizations, with interest on developing activities in the field of Industrial Sociology, Sociology of Organizations and interrelated areas.

It is member of the International Sociological Association and other Scientific International Associations. It supports and promotes the production of publications and the organization of documentation and information services.
