Project GreenTech just saw one of its feature publications published in Scientific Reports.
The article "Explorations on the ecological role of toxin secretion and delivery in jawless predatory Polychaeta" by Cuevas et al., which can be freely accessed here, discloses the relationship between Eulalia feeding (predatory) behaviour and its toxin (now termed "phyllotoxin"). Potential toxicopathological effects of the toxin and accompanying substances that form the worm's complex poison are disclosed for the fist time. Check also the supplementary material for live footage of the worm attacking a prey.
