Anna Cristoforetti graduated as a Master of Science in Classical Archaeology at the University of Bologna with a thesis on Roman and Medieval glass finds of an archaeological site in Northern Italy. She then obtained a second Master's degree in Museology and Economics of Cultural Heritage at the Catholic University of Milan. Anna collaborated in several museum projects with the Winkelmann Institut of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and directed a project of digitalisation of archaeological materials for the Soprintendenza dei beni culturali di Trento, in Italy. She is now a PhD student at the ViCARTE research unit with a project on the archaeological and archaeometric study of medieval Portuguese glass.
