Our main activities involve Research in the fields of material characterisation, manufacturing techniques and degradation processes.

We also carry out undergraduate and postgraduate Training and Teaching and are involved in the organization of Conferences and Scientific Meetings.

Our Labs are equipped with WD-XRF, SEM-EDX, OM, XRD, among others, capable of elemental and microstructural characterisation.

We are also active users of synchrotron radiation facilities.
