Microanalysis
Equipment

Elemental analyzer Thermo Finnigan-CE Instruments Flash EA 1112 CHNS series.
Sample
Solid and liquid homogeneous samples (2-3 mg). For multiple replicas, this value should be proportional.
AAS - Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
- Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
Equipment

GFAAS (Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometer) Analytik Jena AG, Germany, AAS ZEEnit 650 model equipped with a Zeeman as well as a deuterium background correction, uses a transverse-heater graphite tube atomizer and autosampler MPE 60.
Sample
The samples are analyzed in aqueous solution.
AES - Atomic Emission Spectroscopy
- ICP-AES - Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectroscopy
Equipment

ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometer) Horiba Jobin-Yvon, France, Ultima, model equipped with a 40,68 MHz RF generator, Czerny-Turner monochromator with 1,00 m (sequential), autosampler AS500 and CMA (Concomitant Metals Analyzer) for the determination of Hg, As, Se, Sb and Sn, in the ppb range, simultaneously with other elements.

ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometer) ICP-OES, Analytik Jena, model PQ9100 Elite, equipped with Dual View (axial and radial), a double monochromator, and a CCD detector.
Sample
The samples are analyzed in aqueous solution. The volume required depends on the number of elements to be determined. At least 1 ml of solution per element is required for analysis. In case of method development it will require a minimum of 10 ml solution per element.
