Sandra Brasil

Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr Sandra Brasil has a Biochemistry degree and a PhD in Pharmacy (in the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology) from the University of Lisbon, Portugal. From 2013 to 2017 she was a post-doc at prof. Belén Pérez’s lab in CBMSO-Madrid, Spain working in the field of Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDGs). Her main focus has been the study of new therapeutic targets and approaches to ameliorating patients' symptoms and quality of life. Currently, she is a post-doc at the CDG & Allies - Professionals and Patient Associations International Network (CDG & Allies – PPAIN) and her work has focused on advancing therapy research in CDG and raising awareness for this condition.
