He received is MSc in Engineering of Micro and Nanotechnologies in 2018 granted by Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologias of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. His thesis', 'Development of Plasmonic Nanosandwiches for Biosensing Applications', was carried out at iNANO in Aarhus Universitet, Denmark. He started to work as a research fellow in 2019 under the microfluidics project 'Integrated Microfluidic Device for Cancer Detection from Free Circulating DNA Using Digital PCR' coordinated by Prof. Hugo Águas and Prof. Pedro Viana Baptista. In its context, he informally tutored Ana Mota's MSc thesis work.
