Workshop “ABC2 - Anything But Conventional Chromatography"

Our group is organizing the workshop “ABC2 - Anything But Conventional Chromatography", which will focus on less conventional methods for the purification of biological products and is aimed for PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, principal investigators and any professionals from academia and industry wishing to learn and update their knowledge in the field of bioseparation applying packed-chromatography alternative methods.

The workshop will take place in Lisbon, from 22nd to 24th of November.

Outreach in an elementary school

On the 7th of February, our group participated on the science week of an elementary school.
The outreach activities included different ways to show the presence of science in small dynamics to 200 children from 3 to 10 years old.

It was one full day of exciting activities with an excellent and fulfilling outcome.

Constructive Technology Assessment approaches and emerging technology fields

Dr. Douglas Robinson (Teqnode and Univ. Paris-Est) will provide a conference at Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Univ. NOVA Lisbon-UNL next 27th March 2017, on Caparica Campus, from 10h until 12h30m. The topic of lecture will be about "Constructive Technology Assessment approaches and emerging technology fields: dynamics and interactions".

The conference will have the support of the Doctoral Programme of UNL, from CICS.NOVA, Univ. Paris-Est and ITAS-Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

Nanotechnologies and their impact on society, environment and economy

The NanoMat (Institut for Nanotechnology of KIT) and the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS-KIT) launches an interdisciplinary seminar series in Karlsruhe Campus North (Germany).

The first seminar will be held on March 22, 2017 at KIT, Campus North by Prof. Alfred Nordmann about "Enhancing material nature: From dead matter to smart materials, from mental to computer models".
