Kick-off meeting - 19th oct

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the kick-off meeting of AASENS project (https://doi.org/10.54499/2023.18077.ICDT) took place yesterday, on 19th October 2026, at NOVA-FCT!

It was an afternoon filled with sharing current results, scientific discussions and many suggestions to proceed with the work.

Poster prize awarded to Carolina Videira at ISBC2026

Carolina Videira attended the 9th International School for Biological Crystallization, Granada, Spain, from 4th to 9th October.

Carolina presented her work and new results regarding AASENS project and was awarded with the Poster Prize!

Our new Post Doc has arrived!

We are delighted to announce that, on September 1st, Dr. Lucia Motlová started to work in the AASENS project!

Her work will focus on the production and crystallization of Arsenite oxidase from Pseudorhizobium banfieldiae NT-26.

Research Fellow hired

March 15, 2026

We are happy to announce our first research fellow to join the team!

Carolina Videira completed her MSc in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine in November 2025 and is now a research fellow since January in our project. She will now be focused on Arsenate reductase expression and purification, with important crystallization experiments planned.
