Joana Tomás Ferreira


Joana Tomás Ferreira completed her MSc in Conservation and Restoration at the Department of Conservation and Restoration from NOVA School of Science and Technology (2020). She was a research assistant for the PlasCO2 project and was recently awarded a PhD grant to study synthetic coatings present in fashion museum collections and develop preservation strategies. This study is integrated into the funded project Glossy Surfaces: The Conservation of TPUs in Fashion, led by an international consortium of museums and scientific partners. Her research interests are related to the documentation and preservation of modern and contemporary polymeric materials and research of conservation treatments.
