Carolina Viana

Carolina Viana is a master student at NOVA School of Science and Technology undergoing her master studies in Conservation and Restoration and holds a BSc (2019) in Conservation-Restoration from the same university. Driven by a passion for the conservation of modern and contemporary art, Carolina studied poly(vinyl acetate) based emulsions in hopes of contributing to the existing knowledge regarding vinyl paints long-term behaviour and conservation. This dissertation was a part of the research project Plastic Paints in Art: the impact of manufacturing processes on their long-term stability.

Carolina is a research assistant for the PlasCO2 project between December 2021 and June 2022.
