Anna Laganà is a Principal Research Specialist at the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), managing the Preservation of Plastics Project dedicated to advance the conservation of plastic heritage objects. With over twenty years of experience in plastics conservation, Anna specializes in developing treatments for these materials. She has extensively published and conducted international workshops on the topic. Before the GCI, Anna coordinated the Contemporary Art Conservation Laboratory at the Centro Conservazione Restauro la Venaria Reale (Turin), worked as a researcher at the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands, and lectured at the University of Amsterdam coordinating the Postgraduate program in Modern and Contemporary Art Conservation. Since 2020, Anna has served as coordinator for the ICOM-CC Modern Materials and Contemporary Art Working Group.
