Rita Veiga

Rita Veiga holds a BA (2007) and a MA (2010) in Conservation and Restoration of paintings, delivered by the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP). As part of her master’s, she performed an internship at Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza (Madrid), in the paintings conservation-restoration department; and presented a thesis on the execution techniques and degradation of paintings on tinplate.

She worked as a researcher on the project “Materials and techniques of painters from the North of Portugal”, developed by CITAR (Research Centre for Science and Technology in Art), at UCP, for one year.

Since obtaining her degree, she has worked as a conservator and restorer in the private sector, cooperating with several companies.
