Trajano Quinhões conducts research in innovation and innovation management and, in the last year, has been dedicated to research on innovation management standardized systems and the evaluation of innovation capacity, focusing on hospitals.

He holds a PhD in Management from the Escola Brasileira de Administração Pública e Empresarial – EBAPE, from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV (2008), with a major in the governance of public-owned hospitals and transaction costs, holds a master’s in Public Administration and a bachelor’s in Economics.

Professionally, he has worked with public policy, management in healthcare facilities and health economics for the last 25 years, for the Brazilian Civil Service, for multilateral organizations, as a professor, and as a consultant. The most challenging positions were for the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), the National Agency of Health Surveillance (ANVISA), the Brazilian Environment Ministry (MMA), the World Bank, and the Ministry of Health in Brazil.
