Tissue engineering aims at developing new solutions for tissue repair and regeneration based on biological substitutes. In our lab we focus on developing scaffold-based tissue engineering concepts involving the design of polymers- and bioceramics-based constructs that may contain a specific population of cells and/or bioactive molecules in order to promote the recovery, form or function of an tissue.
In this way, we can divide the tissue engineering applications of our lab in two parts:

• Wound healing
• Bone regeneration

The Research work in this field in performed in strict collaboration with the colleagues from the Tissue Engineering lab.
