1st Training School  - “Fundamental aspects on Plasma Medicine”

COST Action CA20114 “Therapeutical applications of Cold Plasmas” - PlasTHER

The main aim and objective of the Action is to exploit the possibilities of atmospheric pressure plasmas in medicine to share, develop and consolidate suitable therapies to make Europe’s science and healthcare world leaders in this field. This will associate gaining and sharing fundamental knowledge that will improve the performance of the therapies.

Training School 1 (TS1)-1st Training School  - “Fundamental aspects on Plasma Medicine”

The main focus of the training school is to present both basic level and state-of-the art in cold atmospheric pressure plasmas and plasma treated liquids in the field of medical applications. The idea is to establish a structured link between theoretical and practical interdisciplinary knowledge allowing participants, PhD students, early career investigators and all the other colleagues, to bridge the gap between the theory and experiments and also to promote interlink between research fields. This will positively impact on their career development, support networking at the early stage of their careers and prepare them for future research in the field of plasma therapies.

Target Audience

PhD students and early career investigators with knowledge of plasmas, medicine, chemistry, biology, physics, engineering or related areas. A short abstract of their work should be provided at the registration, according to the template provided in this website.

The number of participants at the training school is limited and the selection of PhD students and early career investigators will be made by the scientific committee as well as following the order of arrival and also according to a short motivation letter, information of PhD stage and field of work at the registration form. Special care towards gender equality  and students from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) will be also considered during the selection process. The acceptance confirmation will be provided by plasther.ts2022@campus.fct.unl.pt
