Andreia Guilherme holds a BSc in Biology by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC) since 2017. She has recently completed her MSc in Marine Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL). During her dissertation, carried out at MARE-Madeira and Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), she studied the prevalence of plastic debris in seabirds, particularly on Larus michahellis. She has working experience with environmental education with Oceanário de Lisboa. Currently, she is a researcher at MARlab team within the project “iPlastic - Dispersion and impacts of micro- and nano-plastics in the tropical and temperate oceans: from regional land-ocean interface to the open ocean”. Her main scientific interests are marine ecology, seabird conservation and animal behavior.
