Inês Coutinho is an assistant professor of Glass and Ceramics Conservation at the Department of Conservation and Restoration, FCT NOVA and researcher at the Research Unit VICARTE “Glass and Ceramics for the Arts”.
She received her PhD degree in conservation and restoration of cultural heritage (specialization in conservation sciences) from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa in 2016. Her current field of work is the study and characterisation of archaeological glass, motivated by the history of the production of historical glass objects, the disclosure of its commercial routes and usage throughout the centuries. She authored and co-authored more than 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the Society of Glass Technology (SGT).
